Something has changed with Google Earth, or there's an issue with it. I used to be able to zoom up on my home location and have it come into focus quite nicely. Now, from out of nowhere, It stays blurry and won't focus as I zoom in. I did a search for what could be the cause, and tried the suggestions that I found, but to no avail, it's still blurry. I even reset to Defaults, but still no success. After making changes, I even popped out and back into GE as suggested, but still no focus. Am I missing something?

THREEL 6/12/2010, 23:51 น. Hi leedeetee! It's northwest Ohio across the pond here in the USA. Ever since GE updated the imagery here, the resolution has been pretty decent. But, tonight it doesn't seem to be so, and I don't know why. As far as I know, I haven't changed any settings, until I couldn't get GE terrain to come into focus. Since, thenI changed from OpenGL to DirectX, and back again, and changed some other settings.

I got out of, and reopened GE each time as well, but to no avail. I reset to the Default settings and got out and back into GE again. I restarted my computer a couple of times, still no change. I even did a System Restore to yesterday, just in-case, but that didn't help, either. This has me scratching my head in bewilderment. I guess that's why I'm asking if this is something on my end, or GE's.
Erik 7/12/2010, 1:20 น. I'm not quite sure what version I was using, but I just downloaded and installed the latest and greatest version of GE and it seems to have taken care of my problem. I'm still wondering what happened though, because I was fine with the older version, until tonight. Well, it seems as though I'm good-to-go, now. Would the older version be acting funny, if there is a newer version available? That seems odd to me, unless GE changed some of the programming code, or something.

Hershel 28/5/2013, 13:38 น. I was having the same problem and the Clear Memory Cache/Clear Disk Cache options didn't work for me either. However, I clicked on the 3D buildings layer and turned the option off and the imagery became clear again. The 3D buildings option it located on the far left dashboard under 'Layers'.
It worked for me, I hope it works for you. I am not sure why this caused a problem for me, but when I turn the option back on, the screen instantly becomes blurry.
I turn it off and it is clear again. Ming Ming 28/6/2013, 7:09 น.
